Recreational Info

The Cartersville Bartow Youth Soccer Association offers a recreational soccer program for those who enjoy the game of soccer. All players will particpate in at least half of each game. Our focus is on teaching basic skills and love of the game. Parents are encouraged to volunteer to coach. Coaching courses and practice plans are provided to give structure to the program. This is a FUN FAMILY environment.

Under 4 - This program, designed for three year olds, introduces kids to an organized activity with other children and a club trainer. The kids meet once a week for about 45 minutes. Instruction includes fun activities that focuses on individual work with a ball. Each child receives a t-shirt.

Under 6 - Designed for four and five years olds, this is the first age group that has teams. Kids meet twice a week for a hour. Each session includes 30 minutes of practice and 30 minutes of games. Practice focuses on improving individual ball skills. Children need to have a uniform to participate. Trophies are provided by the club for every child.

Under 8 - Designed for six and seven year olds. Kids practice twice a week with a separate game on Saturdays. Practices, an hour in length, are designed to improve individual ball skills and introduce the concept of team play. Children need to have a uniform to participate. Trophies are provided by the club for every child.

Under 10-14 - Kids practice twice a week with a separate game, generally on weekends. Practices are an hour to hour and a half in length. All of the rules of soccer are in effect for games. Practices are designed to improve individual ball skills and introduce tactics of the game. Children need to have a uniform to participate. Trophies are not provided by the club.
